What are Demi implants?

Dr Pouria Moradi offers Motiva Demi breast implants for a full, but natural-looking aesthetic.

If you are considering breast augmentation, you may be wondering what kind of implants suit your aesthetic goals best. The type of implant that is right for you will depend on a number of factors, including the look that you would like to achieve. Demi Motiva implants are a popular choice for patients who would like to attain a moderate-low projection -- read on to find out more about them and what kinds of results they achieve...

Who suits Demi breast implants?

Demi Motiva implants are often an effective choice for patients who have naturally empty or deflated breasts following pregnancy and breastfeeding. The implants help to restore volume and are ideal for individuals who would like moderate to low projection and a very natural aesthetic.

It is important to know that not everyone is suited to breast implants. We do not recommend the procedure for individuals who are currently pregnant or nursing. Patients with existing carcinomas of the breast or any disease that impacts wound healing are also not ideal candidates for surgery. When you come in for a consultation Dr Moradi will assess your breast tissue, as well as your medical history and let you know if you are at surgical risk. If surgery is too risky for you, it may not be possible to receive breast implants.

How are they placed?

Demi Motiva implants can be placed either below or above the pectoral muscle. When placed below the pectoral muscle, they are known as dual plane implants. This technique achieves a very natural-looking contour because the implants are well camouflaged by the pectoral muscle and there is a reduced risk of folds and wrinkles developing around the breast.

Implants that are placed above the pectoral muscle are known as sub-glandular or subfascial implants. When placed above the muscle and below the breast tissue, Motiva Demi implants help to lift the breasts for a more youthful appearance. They also don't flatten when the chest muscles flex.

The surgical technique that Dr Moradi performs for you will depend on a number of factors. Each technique has its own set of benefits, which Dr Moradi will explain to you when you come in for your initial consultation.
