I have just had a Breast augmentation and enjoy playing netball. Just wondering how long should I give it before getting back into netball? I was thinking about 8 weeks? What would happen if I got hit with the ball in the chest or is it a sport I should no longer play :( Thanks

Your body will let you know when you can return to sport. 8 weeks is very conservative, but safe. The risk of accidental implant rupture remains whether you go back at 8 weeks or 8 years, you can't avoid it. Besides a stray netball or elbow is unlikely to rupture...

Hi Having my tissue expanders out on the 27th May replacing for smooth round implants. I always thought i would have tear drop implants to get a more natural look, but my surgeon is recommending round implants for me? Size is going to be 420cc or 450cc each side. 2 specialist plastic surgeons placing the same implant in the same pocket will pretty much get the same result. Unfortunately there are no government rules on who can perform breast augmentation surgery. All you need is a medical degree. To guarantee your surgeon is highly qualified make sure they are a...

Does lifting weights cause Capsular Contractures of my breast Implant?

No, lifting weights does not cause capsule formation. There are some unproven theories that a submuscular implant pocket actually protects against capsular contracture formation. This is thought to be as a result the internal massage effect of the pec muscle on the implant and pocket. This breaks up the scar formation and...
