Should I be Worried about a Nose Injury from Over a Month Ago?

Question: I was hit in the face (head-butted, actually) over a month ago and assumed the bridge of my nose would heal on its own. I still have a small bump on the bridge of my nose, and am getting headaches as a result. I am also having breathing and sinus problems. Is all of this from the injury? And will it heal on its own? Or should I see a doctor?

Answer:A month should have been enough time for your injury to heal on its own, but since it hasn’t the problem may be more than a bruised bridge. You could have injured the septum or sinusitis and should definitely see a physician for a CT scan to get to the bottom of your suffering. If you need surgery to correct an internal issue, your physician can refer you to a specialist for further examination. Good luck, and I hope this helps.
