Question: I am entering my senior year in high school, and am suffering from breathing problems in my right nostril from what I believe is the result of breaking my nose nearly five years ago. Is it too late to have surgery to fix this, since it was broken so long ago?
Answer: Without seeing any pictures or your nose, or you in person, it sounds like you are suffering from a deviated septum which is causing the blockage. You are an ideal candidate for septoplasty, which will also allow the nose to be broken and reset in a better position to alleviate your problem. Good luck with the procedure!
